If you are looking for some Disc golf fun, this is the league for you! This format gives every player regardless of skill level a chance to be competitive, work on their game, get tips from seasoned players and win cash and prizes. New and beginner players will be randomly paired up with a Pro or top Am player and play 18 holes of "Best Shot" Disc Golf.
Course Schedule:
Maxwell Park: August 30 - November 1
Times: New times!!!!!
Sign-up - 5:00 pm
Tee off - 5:30 pm
Disc Golf Clinic - 4:00pm (last Monday of each month)
Cost:
$5 per player
$1 optional Ace Pool
100% nightly payout
Weekly Closest To Pin contest for a disc or $

Great fun last night at the Pro/Am.
Rob added some fireworks by lighting up #2 at Forrest from the short tee.
Rob's ace was not enough, however, to win the night, which was accomplished by Sam, Zach, and Zach with a -12.
Rob and Teddy were at -10.
Barry and Mark were at -9.
Dan and Bryan were at -7.
Zach Switzer took the CTP on #6 by actually getting it from the long tee, not the short. Good job!
A three man team was used to deal with the odd numbered turnout we had. Figured that was fairest way to handle it. Who would get a joker in this pro/am setup?
Paul - whatever ace money you had accumulated in the pro/am so far should go to Dan Z. for our current Wed night league and Dan Z, I owe you $9 from last night's pro/am ace pay in. |

So much for Pro/Am night.
A few weeks ago when Ben and Spence set the Forrest doubles course record with a -14 I asked, "How did those two get paired up on Pro/Am night? Well tonight Spence and Dave O broke that record with a -15! Two top pros would be hard pressed to match that. Well done. I was not on their card but it sounded like putters and drivers were working well for both guys. The course record has been updated.
Not to be outdone were Jack and Bryan Pierce who came in with a -13.
I have to confess that Mark Harston and I, having played pretty darn good, thought we had the night with a -10 and we were not even within three strokes of second place.
The other pairing, Sam and Mark B., shot a -6. |

I agree Mark...it's been a huge help for me as well. I'm still working on consistency, but getting to play with guys that have a lot of experience is something that helps keep me wanting to put in the effort to get better.

What is out clinic for the end of the month? I have a night off on the 30th and I can make it out to the first night at Maxwell.

Paul said we will be working on trick shots at the end of the month. He will be showing us different way to get out of trouble & shots we may have never thought of. I'm looking forward to it! See you out there!
