I wasn't scared. Ben was on my card and he is easily 2 feet taller than me. If lightning was going to come crashing down Ben would be the intended target. Why do you think he called it off with the fist sign of lightning.....cause I was beating him...HAHAHAHAHAHA

Joe, I was rushing my shots at the end of the round as well, especially my last putt once they called us in. It was nice to have the cooler air for the last few holes but the lightning was unfortunate. I would not want to be at any park during that storm, let alone next to a human lighting rod 2ft higher than you, I can understand your concerns Sam. The wind & rain was crazy! I am curious how everyone was doing before we stopped & probably knowing the last two holes will be off a little. Is there any chance we could post our partial scores? If not it's ok, I was just curious.

Well before the hurrican winds and the lights got turned off I was at -2 with 4 holes left and I know mark was -3 or -4 w/ 4 to go.

Challenge this week will be...
Deuce Monkey Repeat
2 drives per hole, complete them as if they are seperate plays. No need to finish out a disc play if it won't result in a deuce unless on 11/17.
2 deuces on a hole = 3 points 1 deuce on a hole = 1 points 0 deuces on a hole = -1 points*
*Hole 17 will be different. Deuces will score 3 points each. 3's will score 0 & 4's will be -1 each. *Hole 11 will also play differnt. Deuces will be 6 each. A pair of 3's will be 2, but 4's be -1 each.
Highest total score wins the night.
Winner will be paid half of total money taken in on the night. Remaining money will go to future challenge pay or be donated to BN Open.
A selected non-winner of group will get a bonus disc.
-------
Note: I reserve the right to modify this setup slightly up until tomorrow's round. I'll ruminate on the scoring and setup until then.

I'm really on the fence for this one... It sounds like fun. I have no chance in H E double chopsticks of winning this, but part of me wants to see how many holes I could get at least one deuce with two shots at it.
I think a score of 30 or higher will win this, and I think I can get a score of about 10. I'll have some -1 holes, some +1 holes, and maybe a couple +3 holes.
Dear Disc, Please go where I want you to go, Not where I threw you. Sincerely, DaveO PDGA-# 33544 |

Dave's hit on one of the key points. The format is meant to intrigue some to find out in a competitive situation how they fare when consistency and adaptation is valued highly.
Throw a bad shot, make a change and get the necessary deuce. Throw two bad shots and pay for it.
