Tonight's Putting will be stations. I'll do 4 stations each on holes 5, 7, 9, 16, 14, and 18. They will be similar to the last time I did them. On each hole I will add ONE station that has artificial OB behind the basket. that putting station will be marked with the letters OB in front of it. All other stations on that hole will NOT have OB. If you miss your putt, and go OB, it will cost you a one stroke penalty to bring your disc back in-bounds. You can take up to a meter relief from the OB line, and no part of your body may be touching OB when you throw your next throw.
Last time we did stations at Maxwell, we did 30 stations in a little over an hour and a half. We had to wait for locals a lot, and we had 5 people on 1 card. We have been having a few more people lately, so I'll probably be doing at least 2 cards. It should go a little bit quicker this week.

| My 2 cents (imagine that). Putting ob behind the basket in case of a miss seems like a great way to teach golfers to be scared of missing and laying up on there putts. They don't have to be as extreme as someone like me (is there anyone else like me?), but a little bit of aggressiveness is good. You miss 100% of the putts you leave short! Throw hard and have fun. |

Barry, I learned my "go for it" putts from you. We all strive to go for it, but we are rarely up for the extreme putts you toss. Agressive putting is needed. I will be there next week. Joshua

Barry I agree and disagree with you. I agree that you have to get it above the rim, and put a some power behind it. My goal for having OB around the basket was to get the people putting to bring up the confidence factor and throw for the chains. I think the lesson was learned on my card. the last OB basket that we came to, all of the guys on my card hit the basket or chains or the top of the chains. I actually made it. One of the OB stations had OB to the left of the basket, but it was clear behind the basket. In adding some OB, I was just trying to simulate what may happen at a tournament somewhere. Thanks for the input!

| You are the man dave. Wasn't trying to dis your method, just had to throw in a "throw hard" when I saw an opportunity. Any putting practice is good practice. I could obviously use some myself. Those 50 ft. comeback putts can put a crimp in your round. |

Bummer Dave! Hope everything is OK with you and the family.
Thursday night is my disc golf night, so I've got my gear and I was planning to head out to Forrest Park right after work (3:30ish). Anyone wanna meet me for a round (or two)? I could come out later if that works better for people, or play at another park if that's more convenient.
I'll start a thread in the "Casual Play" forum so we can discuss. |

I'm looking forward to putting league this week at Maxwell. Last week's horrendous performance at PJ inspired me to do some self-analysis and I think I discovered the flaw in my technique that has been causing all of my low putts. So...look out folks!
Dave-O - are we gonna try cricket again or...?
I'll be arriving at the park between 3:45 and 4 PM to play a casual round before league begins, so let me know if you wanna join me. Post here or text me at: three O niner - 8 twenty-six - 25 forty |

I'm canceling the last night of league in order to support the play at Morton. Please go to Morton and play in that round, so they can raise more money to make Morton better.
