I'm gonna come out to puttin league tonight and give it a try. But I still wanna try to get a round in tonight, so I'm planning to play a round as soon as the putting is done.
Looking forward to seeing everyone out there! |

Planning to be there tonight at Forrest.
Dave-O - think we'll have some time after the putting to play a quick round?

How long should it be? I won't be there this month, but I will be there this next month!

I'm thinking a little over an hour. once we hit an hour, We'll finish what ever round of '21' were on, then total up scores. so my CWAG is that it will be between 1 hour and 1:15.

Important NOTE: League time is getting moved to 6:00 so that anyone wanting to throw a round before hand has time to do so.

Rules for Cricket:
Cricket play will be similar to the darts game cricket.
Cricket uses the numbers 15 to 20 and the bull's-eye. To open or close a number, it must have been scored 3 times in any fashion, on one or more turns. Hitting the triple will close a number in one throw; a single and the double will open or close it in two throws or three singles will open or close it in three throws. Numbers do not have to be opened or closed in any particular order and several numbers can be hit in the same turn. A scoreboard is used to keep track of the hits on all the numbers. Hitting a number once is shown by placing a slash (/) beside the number, second hit by turning the slash to an X, and the third by a circle (O) around the X.[1]
For disc golf, I will locate places to throw around the basket. for the numbers, I will put the single hits at 17 feet, double hits at 25 feet, and triple hits at 10 meters. Single bull will be at 35 feet, and double bull will be at 40 feet.
We will be playing cut throat version, so if someone closes a number, then hits that number again, they will give points to everyone in the field. once you have all of your numbers closed, and if you have the lowest score, the game is over.
Depending on how many people we have, we may play random partners. If that is the case, we will have at least three games and three different partners with no one having the same partner twice.
Payouts will go as follows. If you win a game, you get one point, 2nd gets two etc. At the end of the night, add up your places and the person with the lowest gets 1st. Example: If mike C. is playing and gets a 1st, a 2nd, and a 1st he has 4 total points. lets say Ben was his partner first game, and gets a first also, and then second game is my partner so he gets another 1st, and then is partners with Noah third game so he gets a 4th, then Ben would have 6 total points. In case of a tie, each player will throw 10 throws from the Single bull line, and the one who sinks the most will win the tie breaker.
Dear Disc, Please go where I want you to go, Not where I threw you. Sincerely, DaveO PDGA-# 33544 |

Looking forward to some crazy Cricket at PJ tonight!
I'd really really like to play a round tonight too. Anyone wanna stay late? Or will there be more people there early? I get off work at 3:15, so I can come early or stay late, but probably not both. |
