New ratings this week!
It doesn't look like Peoria turned in the results for the GPO. I could have really used those 1000+ rounds. I'll be adding two good rounds from MN and dropping some bad ones from last yr. Hoping to get back into the 980land (and above!)

For sure getting slammed on this one. Not looking good after my last 3 - 4 tourneys.
Mexico and Vegas were fun but were not exactly helpful to my game....

My rating won't change this time around, but it will probably take another little jump after the rounds from Sinnissippi are factored in. But this rating stuff has me wondering -
Why do we care so much about our ratings? I know I was hitting Refresh on the tournament results page for Sioux Passage for a solid hour the day after the tournament, trying to see if I had shot a 1000-rated round (missed it by one stroke!), and I am a little bent out of shape about the ratings for my rounds at Sinnissippi this weekend (a couple of the rounds look a little low). But if we shot well and won some money (or merch), why do we care about how that round "rates"? There are just so many factors that go into the round ratings, many of which I just can't fathom, so I don't know if it's a good idea to give it a lot of weight and get too worried about it.
So...
What do ratings mean to you? Discuss! Now!!! |

I feel the oposite, I'd rather shoot well and get nothing. I have no room for my biscuits as is and I didn't even have many. There is only so much gear and stuff you can get... I don't even know what kind of discs I need right now... I am so out of touch with my game it is redic.

I'm not exactly happy with the rating system, but I think it's necessary to help figure out where to put all the players that want to compete at different levels.
I had sold out pretty heavy to my life depending on my ratings, but have since relaxed a bit. I'm now a bit more interested in cashing against a strong field and letting it take care of itself.
I certainly won't lie though, I'm always stacking my game up against others trying to figure out if I'm getting better or worse by comparison. The ratings are one element of that. Not to mention the fact I want nothing more in life right now than to be able to say I got to 1000. I'm confident I can, but I see a lot of if's on the horizon...

Woow, only down 1 point. 936. Next update ill be going way down. This update didn't include my sub 900 round from GPO and also from This past weekend at Sinnissippi. I'm taking some time off to practice. No tourneys for a month or so.

Even with my gross rounds from Sinnissippi and GPO I am up 1 point back to 937. I have a really strong round coming in from Oswego too. A 981'er so that should be nice in a few months. I need to get more good golf in though. Channahon classic will be good for that along with Pumpkin Fest maybe and BLONO.

Got the "World's Bump" on mine. Back up closer to my former glory with 977. I guess 4 high rounds will do that.
