I forgot to mention that Dave O won the disc CTP.
and I won the 50/50 CTP in which I will donate my half to the B/N Open fund $24 tonight.

In the Spring League I think it was $124 raised for the open, I'll double check the file tomorrow.

A question was asked tonight "if you win either the middle or lower division how long do you have to play in the next higher division?"

looking for some input.
what do you think?

That is a tough one. I vote 3 weeks unless they DFL earlier than that in the higher division. (Like Sam did)

But i suggest that people that are right on the fence of two divisions... always play up. If you DFL then play down a week and destroy everyone for a week but just try to move up because it will make you a better player.

I decided I am playing upper division this summer until I get a DFL then I will move down for a week.

I think Noah is on the right track. Play up until you DFL. Drop back down until to you smoke the division and jump back up. The weeks you spend up will come in handy. The added "stress" of knowing every shot counts even more is good mental game.

I'm in a similar state of mind with Noah and Ben, but I wouldn't mind seeing people be able to move back down if they finish in the last two spots. Some may move back down, some may not. I guess the problem I see is that Last night the guy who won the middle division did so by shooting a 54 at PJ. That is very close to what I thought it would take to win the middle division. There were a couple at 54, and a couple at 55. Very competative, and about where I think the middle division should be. I don't feel Strongly about this, it is just a little bit to think about. I trust Rob to be as fair as he can, and adjust if needed.

Dear Disc,
Please go where I want you to go, Not where I threw you.
Sincerely,
DaveO

The Ace fund from Spring league ended at $350 ($220 from the previous league). There is $139 due to the club and if my numbers were correct from the 50/50, $116 was raised in spring league. Rob, I will get you the funds next league unless you are going to the quads this weekend and would like them at that time. I took them out of my car when I loaded up my practivce basket for the weekend. I also didn't want almost $500 riding around in my car with me and sitting in my car while lots of people walked by. I believe the club funds need to go to Sam, correct?

Great League Rob, as expected. I look forward to enjoying everyones company the remaining weeks of summer.

Also, any word about Forest yet? Let us know when you need help.

When you are searching for a lost disc may you find two.

Stay up, or move down? It really depends on your goals for the year. If you want to improve your game, play up. If spanking the middle or lower division to win $4 or $5 is your goal, then play down. Some are happy where they are. Come out and have fun. Nothing wrong with that. But if you really want to improve, Play up. You will learn a lot more. Choosing the correct shot and disc, and executing when you have to makes a huge difference. Don't be afraid to ask for tips. And practice, practice, practice. If you don't think that helps, Play a round with the breakout player of the year from BN. (that would be Ben)

I like playing in the upper division to watch those with more skill than me play. However if we have random draw with players of all skills then I like to play where I have more of a chance of getting some money.

It is a very good question to ponder and still maintain fairness to all concerned.

I've been playing with different ideas today, like if someone wins by muttiple storkes then they should move up for multiple weeks and so on.

anyway Josh I do have $124 from spring league and I think that the ace fund money can go into the bank/Sam Ball just wanted to know what the balance was/is.

Dan, let me know what the bill is on the CTP disc's and Thank You for obtaining them for us.

To get back to move up/down thing it's not my intention to punish anyone just to push their game and have some fun on the course's.

I'll post more on the Forrest park thread to bring everone up to date on what happened on that front.
